Experience App Editor

The Experience App Editor is a tool on the Showpad Online Platform that enables admins to easily modify the contents of an experience app. The interface and structure of the editor is derived from the structure and contents of the config.json file.

The editor allows you to define your own tree structure which is visually represented in the Experience App Editor. Top level keys labels and contents are removed.

tip

Create the same tree structure in labels and contents to group them visually together in the Experience App Editor.

The following words are reserved and can only be used inside a label or content object. You can not use these words as keys:

  • type
  • value

Labels

Labels allow you to add strings in your experience app.

{
"version": 1,
"labels": {
"label_example": ""
},
"contents": {}
}

Contents

Contents allow you to add assets, pages, urls, folders, and channels in your experience app.

A user is granted permission to assets and pages defined in the config.json when assigned to the experience app. This means the user can also find the assets and pages while searching.
